On November 17, 2025, at the Great National Solidarity Day of Dong My Residential Group – Phong Dinh Ward, Maries Co., Ltd. was honored to receive the “Tam Long Vang” (Golden Heart) Certificate for its sustained contributions to the community.
This recognition is more than a certificate; it is a testament to the social impact journey that Maries has pursued from its earliest days — preserving traditional craft villages, elevating Vietnamese craftsmanship, and spreading meaningful cultural values throughout the community.
Before Maries came along, the Pho Trach lepironia – weaving craft village faced many challenges: fewer artisans remained, incomes were unstable, and the younger generation showed little interest in continuing the trade.
Yet the women of the village — including artisan Lien aunt — continued to keep the craft alive with their calloused hands and memories of the gentle, familiar scent of sun–dried Lepironia grass.
When Maries first connected with Pho Trach, carrying a small dream of bringing local craftsmanship beyond the village bamboo hedges, Lien aunt was among the first to embrace the opportunity. She not only learned new techniques but also became a mentor to many other women in the village.
Today, this humble craftswoman stands on stage representing Maries to receive the “Tam Long Vang” (Golden Heart) Certificate — a moment filled with pride and layered meaning:
-
Honoring traditional handmade craftsmanship
-
Affirming the vital role of women in sustaining and developing craft villages
-
Reflecting Maries’ business philosophy: a company grows when its artisans are empowered — a handcrafted brand where every individual is valued

During the ceremony, Mr. Le Ba Phu, Head of Dong My Residential Group, delivered an emotional tribute:
“Maries Co., Ltd. has made many meaningful contributions to Đông Mỹ over the years: creating jobs, improving skills, and bringing sedge–craft products to both domestic and international markets. The company has also cared for local children during Mid–Autumn Festival, supported the Education Fund, and accompanied the community in various social activities.”
“Today, at the 2025 Great National Solidarity Day, we recognize Maries with the ‘Tam Long Vang’ (Golden Heart) Certificate and sincerely commend their dedicated, heartfelt contributions.”

Since its founding, Maries has regarded the lepironia–weaving heritage of Pho Trach as the heart of its brand. Preserving the craft means more than creating beautiful products — it means creating stable livelihoods, building skills, and helping the community see that traditional crafts can indeed thrive in the modern world.
For Maries, every woven bag and every conical hat is not just an item. It is an artisan’s story, a continuation of heritage, and a source of pride for Hue.
For many years, Maries has worked closely with the artisan community — offering training in weaving, painting, and material processing while connecting their products with domestic and international markets. As a result, many families now enjoy more stable incomes and an improved quality of life.

For a handcrafted enterprise, the greatest reward has never been revenue or market share — but the place it holds in the heart of the community.
The “Tam Long Vang” (Golden Heart) Certificate affirms that:
-
Maries is walking the right path.
-
The bond between the company and the craft village is grounded in trust, gratitude, and shared purpose.
-
A brand holds true value only when that value uplifts the people who help create it.
More importantly, this recognition motivates Maries to continue investing in community development: improving working conditions, expanding training programs, supporting young people in learning the craft, and ensuring that the lepironia – weaving village continues to thrive.
The certificate will be proudly displayed at Maries — but its deepest meaning lies in the trust the community places in the company, a trust that cannot be bought nor requested, only earned through sincerity and time.
In the years ahead, Maries will continue developing handcrafted products sustainably, bringing Vietnamese culture closer to global audiences, and serving as a bridge between the company, artisans, and the communities of Dong My and Pho Trach.
Because Maries believes:
Heritage lives only when someone preserves it.
Value endures only when it is shared.
And from that moment on the Dong My stage, pride rippled not only through the Maries team but through everyone working together to build a brighter future for Hue’s lepironia – weaving craft.
